We hiring a Project Controls Manager to may support projects that range anywhere from $1M to $4Billion and in most cases, you are directly assigned to our largest ($200M+) and most important projects, serving as the CFO and trusted advisor to Operations Managers and Executive Management. In this role, your primary focus of this position includes: managing and developing careers of business team members, establishing trust and credibility with upper level management, and providing meaningful insight and accurate financial and project analysis to those same managers for decision making purposes. We provide relocation assistance or per diem/TDY for the duration of project.ResponsibilitiesLead cost planning, forecasting, and financial control across all phases of the data center construction lifecycle. You'll collaborate with project executives, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to ensure financial transparency, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for the entire projectOversee the Prime contract from the financial perspective, as well as the sub-contractsLead cost control strategies across procurement, subcontractor management, and change ordersAnalyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to executive leadershipOversee monthly cost reporting, cash flow projections, and variance analysisCollaborate with construction managers, schedulers, and estimators to align financial and operational goalsEnsure compliance with corporate financial policies and regulatory standardsSupport contract negotiations and commercial risk assessmentsAnalyzes and effectively communicates financial results of the project to upper level managementEarns trust, credibility, and buy in of processes from Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organizationManages the division of responsibilities and communication between various project & home office departmentsDrives continuous improvement throughout the organization and is a proponent for positive changeEffectively utilizes the right data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarkingReviews all project and estimate cash flows, contract terms, and change orders in detail for financial risks and opportunitiesand Recognizes when and who to escalate specific conversations/issuesSubstantiates, and reconciles all financial reports monthly and annuallyCreates an inviting workplace that motivates and challenges each team member to achieve career goals and strive for opportunitiesUnderstands the needs of the organization, aims to bring in high quality talent, and continually develops team members through critical conversations and performance reviewsMonitors results of new processes, trouble-shoots failures and issues, and presents solutions to unsolicited problemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree is requiredA minimum of 10 years of financial/data analysis or public accounting experience supporting construction projects, performing financial analysis of revenue, costs, budgets, reporting, cash flow projections, variance analysis, forecasting of financial trends on the project, monthly cost reporting, development of budgets, implementing financial controls on industrial projects and ability to present data to technical and leadership teams.Proficient with financial analysis/controls on Data Center or or similar, large scale EPC projectProven track record managing budgets for construction of industrial facilities, ideally, data centersAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, proficiency with cost management and related software, data analysis and dashboard reportingEffective communication (both oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to balance multiple tasks and responsibilitiesHigh level of professionalism and standardsMust be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environmentsTravel daily to and/or relocate to your assigned project, for duration of project.Ability to work in United States without sponsorship, both now and in the futureCertified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or PMP certifications preferred#LI-JB1Working ConditionsInsert hereOther Requirements:* Regular, reliable attendance* Work productively and meet deadlines timely* Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.* Perform work safely and effectively.
