Come join us and help shape the future!**This Opportunity**WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Summer 2022 Planning Intern** for our **Buffalo, NY** office. Be involved in projects with our Advisory Services Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.**Your Impact**+ Conduct project research and data gathering.+ Conduct mapping and graphic production.+ Site reconnaissance+ Zoning and regulatory analysis.+ Prepare meeting presentation materials.+ Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.+ Learn basic principles of Engineering Planning.+ Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.+ Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.+ Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.+ Complete training on assigned tasks.+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.+ Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.**Who You Are****Required Qualifications**+ Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related Undergraduate or Graduate program.+ Prior related internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.+ Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.+ Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.+ Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.+ The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.**Preferred Qualifications**+ Current standing as a Rising Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related Undergraduate or Graduate program.+ Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and/or Microstation software.+ Previous internship experience in related field.+ Local candidates preferred.
