The R&D Engineering Co-op position is for our Product Engineering Group focused in the Commercialization Engineering or Process Engineering. The co-op will be assigned a mentor and at least one real world project to complete during their assignment. - Initially the individual would be expected to become skilled at making and testing paint.
- They would be responsible for assisting in optimizing formulations and processes through Design of Experiments and statistical analysis of the data.
- Potential to work with Operations for site projects.
- They will also be expected to participate in monthly and quarterly meetings presenting their work as needed. This position is for a minimum of 8 months starting in January 2026 through August 2026. EDUCATION
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Be a rising or current sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the Co-Op program
- Must have a HS diploma or GEDPreferred
- Currently enrolled as Junior or Senior
- Chemical Engineering major
- Minimum 2.8 GPAKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Must have access to reliable transportation and housing
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week for a total of 6 months with or without reasonable accommodationPreferred
- Skilled at using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of information technology infrastructure and computer platforms
