Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and specialized Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This role is strictly focused on wound care nursing and requires a professional with extensive, direct experience in this specialty to provide expert treatment and management for patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active RN license (must be in compliance with NLC guidelines). Pending licenses are not accepted.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent, direct Wound Care nursing experience is required. First-time travelers are only accepted if they possess 3+ years of experience.
  • Certification: Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification is a significant plus.
  • Travel Policy: No local candidates within a 100-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care focused exclusively on the assessment, treatment, and management of complex wounds, ostomies, and continence issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients with acute and chronic wound conditions.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of wound etiology, systemic factors, and evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform advanced wound care procedures and treatments.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on wound prevention, ostomy care, and management techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.

Scheduling & Additional Details

  • Schedule: Standard day shift, Monday through Friday.
  • On-Call & Weekends: Required on an as needed basis.
