Visits patients daily to ensure they have the opportunity to order meals based on their physician-ordered diet. Works in conjunction with other team members to perform various tasks within the department. HOURS Vary, Every Weekend/ Every Holiday - - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - - Provides exemplary customer service by visiting assigned units to obtain daily meal selections from each patient. Enters compliant patient selections and preferences in CBORD (Computerized diet system). Organizes tray tickets for efficient meal production and delivery. Interacts with multi-disciplinary staff members on the units to gather valuable input related to patient meals. Communicates food quality and acceptance issues to department management, reflecting trends, and advises staff on adjusting trays for changed diet orders. Screens patients to identify risk levels assesses patients at moderate nutritional risk and develops and implements medical nutrition therapy for them.
