This position provides one-on-one assistance to children with moderate to severe special needs participating in recreational programs. The incumbents also assist with organizing, modifying and leading recreational activities and events for all groups and are generally supervised by the Park Manager at the site to which they are assigned. Illustrative Examples of Essential Duties - Supervises one or more participants depending upon participants' individual needs, and/or need, in sports, games, recreation and athletic activities, including field trips, etc. - Evaluates participants' skill level and assesses capacity to participate in recreational activities. - Implements behavior plans, as needed, creates and safeguards appropriate documentation. - Assists participants to adapt to activities and facilitates social interactions. - Conducts diversified recreational activities which may include but are not limited to: music, dance, arts and crafts, swimming, athletics, games, and fitnes...Aide, Recreation, Education, Dance, City
