Job Title: Principal Platform Product Owner / Scrum MasterWork Location: Richardson, TXDuration: Long-term contract with option to hire Job Description:As a Principal Platform Product Owner / Scrum Master, you will herald a transformative era in software engineering, one that underscores the integration of development and operations through a single, comprehensive platform. Platform engineers, with their comprehensive technical and problem-solving skills, are shaping the future of software development to efficiently deliver high-quality, secure software, by providing automated services that enable SW engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities. The role's core responsibility will be as a Product Owner / Scrum Master for an agile platform product team. Additionally, you will help with the design and implementation of the platform. You will be in a team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. NOTE This position will be performed onsite in the RTX Facility in Richardson TX. Responsibilities :Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructureConvert strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames captured a backlog of features and storiesAssist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing performance and scalability across on-premises VMware computing environmentsAdminister / support current RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systemsLeverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) productsEnsure security and compliance are integrated into the platformProvide operational support for the platformAbility to oversee all stages of product creation, including design and developmentAbility to Facilitate SAFe Agile ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Iteration Reviews, PI (Program Increment) Planning, and RetrospectivesCoach and guide Agile teams on SAFe practices and principles, promoting continuous improvement and team collaborationRequired Skills & Qualifications :BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 8 years of related work experienceExperience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.)Experience with Agile Development MethodologiesExperience collaborating with clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirementsCurrent TS/SCI issued security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, willing to obtain a CI Poly for Privileged User access to the systemQualifications We PreferExperience with AWSExperience with VMware provisioning / systems administrationCurrent existing Security Plus CertificationExperience in DevOps/DevSecOps system developmentExperience in designing private cloud environments, especially in computer serversExperience with automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible (preferred), SaltStackExperience with Artifactory/Xray or equivalent artifact repository product.Experience with Jenkins or an equivalent Build, test and deploy automation productExperience with Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher)Experience in the daily system operations and maintenance and use of administration toolsExperience with the architecture and design of on premises COTS Infrastructure (IT)Proficient working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization technologiesUnderstanding of Change Management processes - Version Control of software and applicationsAble to obtain a Security Plus certification
