What you'll do as an OSP Engineering Project Manager Oversee engineers and coordinate with customers and clients Be familiar with outside plant engineering concepts (e.g. copper cable, fiber optic cable) Determine routing of copper and fiber cables Provide administrative and field support for the outside plant and provisioning process Interact with on-line computer systems that VERIZON requires Complete all required forms and documents Utilize telecommunication planning techniques Have knowledge of PC applications and the mechanized support systems All other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company HS diploma or equivalent Understanding of the complete network, including outside plant portion, digital switching, digital cross connects, digital carrier and fiber technologies Knowledge of PC software package tools, including word processing (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point) and all on-line computer systems that VERIZON requires Physical abilities & exposures Routinely: sit, stand, and walk frequently; communicate in English with coworkers, customers, and the general public in written and verbal forms Occasionally: lift or move items under 25 pounds Salary Range $50,000 to 60,000 per year based on experience Why work with us Your career here is more than just a job - it's your pathway to opportunity.
