Emergency/Admitting Representative
Shift/Hours: 2-9pm weekdays, 3-9pm every other Saturday and Sunday
Expected Starting Salary: $17.50-20.00/hr
As an Emergency/Admitting Representative you will:
- Complete front desk registration and inpatient floor follow-up registration.
- Handle direct admissions, hospital transfers, and sleep study check-ins.
- Create visitor badges for families.
- Answer and manage incoming calls to the admitting line.
- Collect and enter documents from the fax machine into EPIC
- Perform admissions for Fetal Care, including in-person updates on the floor.
- Visit assigned patient rooms to confirm parent availability and obtain consent.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure daily tasks are completed.
- Provide shift handoffs and ensure documentation is complete for the next team.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of work experience in a related job discipline (Healthcare registration experience preferred)
- Excellent over-the-phone communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
