Senior Manager of Supply Chain

Location: Twin Cities - This position is on-site, the company will not be paying for relocation.

Poised for growth, our client is looking for an experienced, innovative, and resourceful Supply Chain leader to build on their current infrastructure.

This role is responsible for the organization, execution and control of all purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging supplies, equipment, and other goods and services. This includes supporting and executing the development of purchasing strategies, tariff mitigation strategies, importing goods and managing logistics from overseas, managing a small team, negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and optimizing and purchasing processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a history of demonstrated success in leading supplier cost-reduction initiatives, managing vendor performance scorecards, and collaborating across departments including production, product, sales and finance departments. This position will help drive the strategic and tactical vision of the supply chain.

Our client is looking for the following experience and skill level:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • 5 years of MRP/ERP experience in a manufacturing environment; subject matter expertise
  • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPP, CPM, CPSM, CSCP)
  • Leadership & Management: Proven experience leading and managing a purchasing team.
  • High level of competence and knowledge of purchasing principles, contract negotiation, supplier management, international sourcing and tariff mitigation experience.
  • Technical Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and purchasing software, and Microsoft 365
  • Data Analysis and Reporting

Base pay in only one component of our clients' total rewards offering. Their comprehensive benefits are designed to support health, financial wellness, and work/life balance. While this role does require onsite presence, there is flexibility in schedules and the opportunity to work virtually one day a week.

Actual compensation will consider a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate within a salary range of $90k-120k annually.
