Company Overview:Tosh Farms is a rapidly growing, family-owned crop and swine production business with over 500 employees. We are the #1 pork producer in the state of Tennessee and top 30 in the United States. Position Overview: The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for transporting feed, grain, and/or ingredients, and livestock safely and efficiently. Drivers are required to maintain logs, adhere to all state/federal regulations, perform inspections before and after each trip, and unload product from trailer to facility. Driver Roles:FEED: Deliver feed to sow and finish hog barns in KY/TN. Feed is loaded into the trailers at our feedmill here in Henry, TN (via overhead drop). Feed is unloaded from the trailer (by Tosh driver) into feed bins using a boom (with auger) when arriving at designated hog barns. This driver role is best for drivers wanting to move in/out of cab several times each day and skilled with automated equipment. The schedule for feed driver is generally 11 hour shifts with scheduled days off during the week.What You Do:
  • Drive & operate trucks while obeying all traffic laws, DOT regulations and company procedures/policies
  • Professionally deliver feed, grain, and livestock according to schedule
  • Inspect trucks for safety prior to driving as well as at the end of trip
  • Keep a log of all working hours/miles driven
  • Use tablet or other computer device for deliveries
  • Communicate in a courteous and professional manner while interacting with coworkers, customers, vendors
  • Maintain a clean driving record and report any accidents/violations immediately
  • Champion of a safety culture
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Who You Are
  • A valid class A CDL
  • A valid Med Certification
  • 2 years of driving experience
  • Acceptable driving & criminal record
  • No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 5 years
  • Excellent listening and verbal communications
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pass and maintain DOT medical certificate
  • If hauling livestock, you must meet the physical requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds infrequently
  • Take tire chains on/off during winter weather conditions, as needed
  • Ability to sit prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, climb frequently
  • Ability to work days/nights/weekends, extra days and hours to support business needs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests in accordance with DOT and company rules and regulations
