St. Albans Transport Driver#32012Location: St. Albans, VTCompany: Dairy Farmers of AmericaCategory: DriverJob Description$5,000 Sign on Bonus Offered to Eligible CandidatesGeneral Purpose:Utilizing DFA tractor and trailer, to transport raw milk from depot to processing plantDuties and Responsibilities:* Operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices* Following dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel, travels to location to transport raw milk* Takes measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption* Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination.* Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level.* Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnel* This is a full-time positionPay and Benefits:* Competitive pay* Eligible for Quarterly bonuses* Medical* Dental* Vision* 401k Employer Match* Generous vacation* Rotating Schedules* Return Home Daily* We are proud to offer access to your wages on-demand, no need to wait for pay day!* And more...Education and Experience* High School Diploma or GED or equivalent Preferred* Must have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence.* Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.* Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)* In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school.* Must be at least 21 years of age.* Must meet all DOT requirements.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements* Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing* Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)* Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurement* Good organization and record keeping skills* PunctualityAn Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/VeteransSalary:$25-$28/Hour
