Strong Ready Mix is looking for an ACI Certified, Grade 1 Field Testing Technician with strong initiative, who will perform concrete testing in our brand-new test lab building. You will ensure that technicians working with fresh concrete in the field can perform standardized tests accurately, ensuring the quality and consistency of concrete in construction projects. Responsibilities ACI Certified, Grade 1 Field Testing Technician:
- Test concrete products and perform PSI stress tests regularly in our brand-new lab testing building
- Follow proper procedures
- Complete work in a timely manner
- Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets
- Perform accurate computations
- Maintain cordial relationships with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements ACI Certified, Grade 1 Field Testing Technician:
- Experience is required
- ACI Certification required
- **The Technician must demonstrate competence in performing the following ASTM Standard Tests:
- ASTM C172 Sampling freshly-mixed concrete
- ASTM C143 Slump of Hydraulic-Cement concrete
- ASTM C138 Density (unit weight), yield, and air content of concrete
- ASTM C231 Air content of freshly-mixed concrete by the pressure method
- ASTM C1064 Temperature of freshly-mixed concrete
- ASTM C31 Making and curing concrete test specimens in the field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity
- Ability to operate independently, or constructively with others
