Established (100+ Years) Full-Service Law Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Healthcare, Employment, and Commercial Litigation - Jackson, MS
A well-established Mississippi-based law firm with over 100 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5+ years of experience to join its Healthcare, Employment, and Commercial Litigation practice in Jackson, MS. This Associate will work alongside respected trial attorneys on complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts, gaining hands-on experience across all phases of litigation.
The firm is full-service, handling a wide range of general business litigation and transactional work. Candidates with federal clerkship experience are encouraged to apply.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $120,000 - $145,000, contingent on experience
Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance

1800 billable hour target
Minimum 3 days onsite required (hybrid flexibility)

Qualifications
2-5+ years of civil litigation experience
Background in healthcare or employment litigation strongly preferred
Federal clerkship is a plus
Strong research, writing, and courtroom skills
Mississippi Bar in good standing (or ability to waive in)
Responsibilities
Litigate healthcare, employment, commercial, and general business disputes
Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
Conduct legal research and manage discovery
Attend and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials
Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy and case development
Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
