Coordinates schedules of multiple resources, including outside facilities (i.e. providers, physical resources and clinical staff schedules). Gathers pertinent information from insurance carriers, physicians to make certain the patient's financial Obligation for services. Call patients to schedule surgery within 48 hours of being entered into referral plus by the medical assistant and schedule all pre-op and post-op appointments for the patient. Provides ongoing communication with patient regarding pre-certification, authorization, financial counseling and scheduling process. During financial counseling session, collects patients' responsibility via telephone or instructs patient to bring required payment to their Pre-op appointment. Communicates clinical instructions needed for appointments/procedures. Updates system for any changes or additions to schedule.
