Structures Technician (Midland, TX)

Total compensation is $51/hour. Pay breakdown: $27/hour + $192/day ($1344 weekly) per diem for fulltime contractors.

Job Description

The Structures Technician will perform manual labor in a production line, assembling parts for satellite systems. This role is integral to the production team, ensuring that components are accurately constructed and ready for use in satellite technology.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a production team to assemble parts.
• Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks, or bins.
• Manually assemble satellite sub-assembly parts.
• Use various hand tools, measuring, and test equipment.
• Clean assembled parts and place them in protective bags or boxes.
• Pack, seal, and move boxes.
• Pick up, move, and sort small parts.
• Use small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly and blueprint reading.
• Experience with wiring, structure, sheet metal repair and assembly.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of blueprints and sheet metal processes.

Work Environment

The position is based in a clean room environment where employees must wear smocks, hair nets, beard nets, and shoe covers to maintain a sterile workspace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
