We are seeking Financial Crimes Audit and Issue Validation Consultants to support audits and validation for financial crimes processes and controls. The role involves working across the First and Second Lines of Defense to assess compliance, evaluate risk controls, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Essential DutiesSupport the identification of audit scope areas aligned with the audit's objectives. Review and interpret policies and procedures; create process maps and conduct walkthroughs. Map applicable laws, rules, and regulations to relevant processes, procedures, and policies. Develop and execute detailed test steps based on extracted procedural requirements. Conduct and document walkthroughs; identify, escalate, and communicate issues as needed. Upload and maintain workpapers in the system of record. Collaborate with stakeholders and audit leadership to ensure clear communication. Assist with drafting and issuing the final audit report.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 8 - 10 years of auditing or equivalent issue validation experience in financial crimes compliance. CAMS or similar compliance certification (Highly preferred). Prior experience with trade finance and trade-based money laundering (Highly preferred).
Skills and Job-Specific CompetenciesAdvanced Excel and proficiency in SQL or similar query languages. Knowledge of sampling methods and control testing. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to independently design and execute test scripts. Familiarity with financial crimes risk areas and frameworks.

Salary RangeSolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $75 85.
