Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service by offering prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable insights on a wide variety of vitamins and supplements.
  • Maintaining extensive knowledge of health and beauty products in the department to guide customers effectively.
  • Overseeing product orders and managing inventory control.
  • Planning and executing sales and promotional events.
  • Meeting sales, margin, expense, and labor goals by managing product assortment, merchandising, and inventory effectively.
  • Collaborating with the Buyer and Store Manager to manage inventory based on sales reports and market trends.
  • Engaging with and developing team members through coaching and feedback, including conducting bi-annual performance reviews.
  • Participating in regular in-store meetings.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and hiring of new team members.
  • Addressing team member concerns using sound judgment.
  • Executing corrective actions as necessary, working alongside HR partners as needed.
  • Ensuring efficiency by creating optimal schedules and staffing levels.
  • Communicating standards, expectations, and product knowledge to team members.
  • Leading a collaborative team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers.
  • Acting as a Key Carrier and Manager on Duty (MOD) when required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age and at least 1 year of relevant leadership experience in vitamins, homeopathy, or holistic health.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to give and receive feedback.
  • Willingness to maintain a clean and organized department.
  • Adherence to safety, health, and regulations.
  • Eagerness to stay informed about new products in the health industry.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to use ladders and utility carts, as well as perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Ability to complete a Food Handlers permit.
  • Flexible scheduling availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of financial reports, margin reports, and sales goals.
  • A friendly demeanor and positive attitude towards team members and customers.
