Atalco Gramercy, LLC is seeking a self-motivated, multi-faceted Security, Health, and Safety individual to join our team in Gramercy, Louisiana. The Security, Health & Safety Manager (SH&S) is responsible for the overall strategic and tactical SH&S plans, programs and initiatives for the facility partnering with plant management and employees to help Atalco Gramercy, LLC achieve its mission and goals while protecting people and ensuring regulatory compliance. Is a key resource and drives the safety, fire, industrial hygiene, training, and security elements. Works with and supports plant management in developing, implementing and monitoring the plant's overall SH&S system and initiatives.

The successful candidate will foster an employee inclusive safety culture committed to achieving safety excellence and provide leadership and management to the SH&S staff. The position supervises two direct reports.

Requirements:

Responsibilities May Include:

· Leads and directs all security, health, and safety areas for the facility.

· Conducts periodic SH&S related audits/inspections/analysis to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance, prepares action plans, and works with appropriate individuals to ensure successful completion.

· Ensures risk assessments and job safety analysis are conducted as needed.

· Collaborates with appropriate department personnel to resolve identified hazards.

· Reviews incident investigation reports. Works with appropriate plant staff to ensure investigation is complete and satisfactory. Enters final report into the company's incident database.

· Assists in monitoring contractors and construction activities to ensure safe work practices are being followed.

· Chairs the monthly plant safety committee(s) and presents safety-related information both internally and externally using meetings, message boards, and other written/verbal communication methods as appropriate.

· Acts as the liaison during external safety, fire, and security audits, including MSHA and Coast Guard inspections.

· Maintains the MSHA logs and records as required and is responsible for reporting.

· Responsible for internal (employees) and external (contractors, visitors, etc.) safety training. Identifies training requirements using regulatory guidelines and needs assessments. Designs, develops, and implements training in-house or identifies and contracts with external training resources. May present training, prepare designee(s) for presentation or use external resources.

· Able to analyze incident reports, audit findings, employee reports to determine trends and focus areas for the site.

· Tracks all plant training to ensure requirements are met. Maintains plant training documentation files. Prepares monthly training reports of employee participation.

· Active presence in the plant to help mentor, coach, and audit safe behaviors in the workplace.

· Perform required personal protective equipment assessments to protect employees from potential exposure to possible chemical and physical hazards from raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

· Manage and target compliance with all the MSHA required programs including: hazard communication, respiratory protection, lockout tag-out, confined space, hot work, blood borne pathogens, hearing conservation, powered industrial trucks, fall protection, electrical safety, fire protection, chemical specific programs where applicable), laboratory safety and emergency response.

· Manage and implement the site's security and loss protection programs to conform to both MSHA and the Coast Guard requirements.

· Provide Leadership and support to the Emergency Response Team.

· Work collaboratively with Purchasing to manage the contractor approval and evaluation process.

· Keep abreast of impending SH&S regulatory changes and new regulations and communicate these changes to the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is supervisory with two direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

· Required to pass a physical.

· Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer and other general purpose and industry specific software packages.

· Possess an understanding of document control as it relates to the security, health, and safety processes.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, self-starting and proactive, and have strong organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, set goals, and complete commitment on schedule.

· Willing to travel to seminars, training schools etc. for initial program training and continuing education.

· Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to make presentations to a wide range audience including management, technical, and non-technical levels on program status and identified objectives.

· Team player works effectively and cooperatively with others. Actively shares knowledge and skills with others.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering, Industrial Safety and Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or related field required.

· Must have 10+ years' experience in the safety and health field in petrochemical/industrial sites.

· Designation as a Certified Safety Professional through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals . However, if not, applicant willing to achieve within 3 years of hire date.

· MSHA regulatory experience will be a plus

· Experience administering or managing an emergency response team including drills and exercises

· Experience in meeting requirements of the Coast Guard with respect to plans, exercises, and reporting

· Must be eligible to work in the US.

SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret information. Ability to write reports and basics business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
