COMPANY OVERVIEW PACO Group, Inc. is a CM/PM (Construction Management / Project Management) firm delivering complex public infrastructure with precision and care. The firm partners with owners to plan, manage, and successfully deliver capital programs-bringing disciplined controls, proactive risk management, and stakeholder coordination to every assignment. For this engagement, PACO Group, Inc. supports the Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 project. POSITION OVERVIEW PACO Group, Inc. seeks an IT Manager to support the Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 team by ensuring stable, secure, and performant business applications and end-user services. This is a full-time, on-site role in New York, NY supporting a multi-year capital program-daytime schedule with occasional off-hours coverage during cutovers and incident response. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure stable operation of all business applications-including internal and external websites-to meet project needs. • Oversee implementation of new software and technologies; manage database maintenance and performance. • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues; escalate when appropriate. • Prioritize incoming work across teams to align with project milestones and operational demands. • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to resolve integrations and drive enterprise initiatives. • Organize and facilitate office move logistics in accordance with IT standards, practices, and procedures. • Provide frontline, daily end-user support; anticipate issues and advise users on next steps. • Lead continuous improvement-track incidents, manage problems, and report metrics to stakeholders. REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences; ensure accountability and drive results. • Anticipate problems, take initiative, and execute solutions in a fast-paced environment. • Balance multiple priorities-triage effectively and meet deadlines under pressure. • Build strong partnerships with Operations and Development to remove barriers to productivity. • Analyze IT asset portfolios and recommend cost-effective optimization strategies. SOFTWARE / TOOL PROFICIENCY • Enterprise systems administration (Windows/Linux), identity & access (AD/Azure AD). • Networking fundamentals-LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and monitoring. • Database platforms and performance tuning (e.g., SQL Server/Oracle). • Microsoft 365/Azure administration and collaboration tools. • ITSM platforms for incident, problem, and change management (e.g., ServiceNow/Jira). QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 8 years of progressive, relevant IT experience; or, in lieu of degree, 12 years of progressive, relevant IT experience. • Demonstrated problem-solving, teamwork/collaboration, communication, initiative, and leadership. • Preferred: 12 years of technical experience supporting enterprise environments.
