If this is a team you'd like to be apart of, please apply today!SUMMARY OF JOB: The Carpenter/Maintenance Technician responsibilities includes repairing, maintaining, and inspecting equipment, buildings, and grounds. They may also perform general maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and landscaping. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and general labor tasks to assist with various construction projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and year-round upkeep of the overnight camp and day camp, as well as the Spruce Run Outpost if called upon. 2. Must have communication skills adequate to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the maintenance of the camps. 3. Must have the physical ability to dig, lift, load, and unload a minimum of 50 lbs. 4. Become completely familiar with organization's Risk Management and Hazmat Manual. 5. Well-rounded carpenter with working knowledge of all phases of construction. 6. Perform work related to the following trades and services: Demolition, Framing, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, Electrical, Cleaning, and Landscaping. 7. Productively and safely move impediments at the job site, to prepare for work to be completed. 8. Move and/or lift tools and equipment. 9. Assist in the set-up and breakdown of tools and equipment 10. Clean work area and account for all tools and equipment. 11. Performs other job-related duties in area of responsibility as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of High School Diploma and 5-7 years of experience. 2. Experience and competence in operation and repair of grounds equipment. 3. Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry. 4. Proficiency in carpentry skills such as framing, door hanging. 5. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols - completion of OSHA 10 required within 60 days of employment. 6. Be able to utilize and work off extension ladder. 7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. 8. Drive enclosed trailers/dump trailers. 9. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. 10. Excellent communication skills. 11. Must have a valid driver's license. 12. Clear Background check and Child Abuse Clearance.Certifications that will be required to obtain within first 6 months of hire

Work Environment This position operates both outdoors as well as in a maintenance workshop. It requires extensive outdoor work all year long.Physical Demands There are significant physical demands in this position depending on the maintenance or repair project. There may be heavy lifting from time to time. In addition, because of the outdoor work, there are additional physical demands. In the summer, there may be considerable exposure to heat. In the winter, there will be exposure to cold weather, especially when plowing is required.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full time 40 hours a week position.
