Job Duties:SSP Industries is looking for Pipelayers with seasoned experience for our underground utility division. Pay based on past or recent experience and skills in water and sewer/pipelaying. Concrete forming/finishing knowledge is a plus and the ability to operate light equipment is valued. SSP work week is Monday thru Friday with weekends off. Any weekend/emergency after hours work is paid at a higher rate. Average 10 hours per week of overtime is available.Requirements:DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES • Locate existing underground utilities by hand digging potholing • Install underground waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm sewer lines • Backfill waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm drain lines utilizing vibratory plates, tampers, jumping jacks and remote-controlled trench compactors • General labor and other construction activities as assigned. SAFETY •Promote, execute and adhere to SSP safety program • Wear required PPE • OSHA 10 hour safety training preferred but can be obtained upon hire • Attend regular safety trainings.
