Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.Preferred Qualifications Position SummaryThe incumbent will be asked to preform manual work in facilities cleaning, building maintenance, vehicle maintenance and other related duties in and around the UGA Griffin Campus. Primary responsibility is for the effective use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and caring for building areas and equipment. Individual works under close supervision and follows well established routines and procedures.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies* Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, equipment and practices of the cleaning profession.* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally.* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with university personnel.Physical Demands* Climb stairs and ladders* Bend at the waist and knees* Lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds* Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of timeIs driving a responsibility of this position?
