Job DescriptionProspectBlue is partnered with a mission-driven outsourced investment office seeking a Client Service Associate to support the Portfolio Management team in effectively communicating with client staff, boards, investment committees, and internal investment and operations team members. In this role, you will assist Portfolio Managers in developing client materials, preparing for meetings, onboarding new client relationships, and managing other administrative tasks involved with overseeing client relationships and investment portfolios. This is a full-time role with a comprehensive benefits package, including an annual bonus, health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, and employer retirement contributions. The position requires a minimum of two days per week in the Charlottesville, VA office, with additional in-office time expected during initial training. Core Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate resources across the firm to support Portfolio Managers in creating customized communications and reporting for clients.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Create presentation content for client boards and committees that clearly conveys portfolio information and investment strategy.
  • Participate in client meetings, collaborating on agendas and communication strategies, maintaining notes, and occasionally traveling to client locations.
  • Manage and prepare responses to client inquiries, requests, and follow-up needs.
  • Provide client service support by assisting with onboarding and administrative tasks for new and existing client relationships.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client documentation to maintain accurate records and reduce operational risk.
  • Maintain and utilize the internal CRM system, including logging client contacts, pipelines, calendars, and meeting updates.
  • Provide logistical support for onsite client meetings.
  • Support business development efforts through preparation of engagement materials.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of various asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives) and financial markets
Experience & Credentials
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience (finance, investment, or nonprofit management experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent required
