The Technical Control Team (TCT) administers and maintains Engineering Services Group's Standards, Value Engineering and other improvement programs. The Value Engineering Program conducts studies through independent, multi-disciplinary workshops to deliver services such as value engineering, constructability reviews, and other facilitation efforts. These services help enhance functionality and improve the value of Metropolitan's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) projects. We are seeking a TCT Engineer who will play a lead role in planning and coordinating workshops under the Value Engineering Program, and support other TCT programs as needed, such as the Lessons Learned and Standards Programs, which involve multiple business groups, engineering disciplines, and entities. This position includes some external engagement and requires a moderate level of visibility and sensitivity on behalf of Metropolitan. The ideal candidate will use professional judgment from their experience of project delivery processes, expertise in project management practices, technical knowledge as a professional engineer, and strong administrative skills to act in a lead role on TCT. As an Engineer within TCT, they will effectively use their interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and technical subject matter experts to advance Engineering Service Group's Value Engineering and other programs. Schedule: 44/36, Monday through Friday /Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday. Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm. Hybrid: Metropolitan's current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule. To view the full job description, click here: EngineerEMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Associate Engineer level; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Associate Engineer level. Relevant Experience is defined as: work in the field of engineering with specific experience in project management, AND/OR design management, AND/OR construction management.
