Associate Director, Program Management

Material is looking for an Associate Director Program Manager to join our team. This is a vital role within our Delivery team, as you will be the orchestrator of our internal teams and our external client relationships. You will thoughtfully and strategically represent the needs of both parties, while ensuring that the expectations of the project and client are being met. You'll bring your considerable operational, organizational and client relationship skills to work with internal teams and clients to help manage expectations and optimize our creative output.

This person will be responsible for handling day-to-day program management and communication between clients and internal teams. This person needs to be an expert at leading large, complex engagements with multiple product work teams, including Loyalty Strategy & Product Design and development. Require experience working with Global delivery teams and projects of a technical focus. This position requires an extremely detail-oriented, proactive solutions-focused leader. Client industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include:

  • You are involved throughout the entire lifecycle of a project-from kickoff-to launch and every point in between
  • Ability to interpret client briefs and establish project requirements, roles and responsibilities, priorities & deadlines to be aligned on both internally and with clients
  • Through detailed project plans, create the appropriate staffing plan and budget
  • Prepare internal project briefs based on converted scopes and lead kickoffs to help onboard teams
  • Prepare and communicate detailed project plans inclusive of project milestones, workstreams & activities across multiple disciplines, collaborating with our India based Delivery teams and manage delivery of the project according to this plan
  • Track project progress and provide regular recaps and status reports to project team and key client stakeholders
  • Lead complex projects or programs and deliver quality work on time and on budget
  • Adapt quickly to solve problems for clients and internal teams
  • Possess deep knowledge of risk management and mitigation
  • Manage and adjust for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget
  • Manage the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback
  • Responsible for keeping all projects up to date in Material's internal project management tools to ensure project profitability and efficiency, on an ongoing basis
  • Communicate new project requests, timeline shifts and financial tracking to the cross functional senior team
  • Monitor and manage multiple project workflows
  • Know when and how to escalate operational, resource, budget or timeline issues, in-detail
  • Resourcing: Identify project teams based on scopes of work in partnership with Senior Account Managers and Directors. You will proactively sound the alarm on issues that may derail our process/timeline

Communication Expectations:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail
  • Understand nuances of client communication and how to have tough conversations
  • Can pivot communication styles based on audience (Client, Creative team member, Technical team member) and can speak with authority on all phases and aspects of a project

Experience:

  • 6+ years' experience with brand and website or app design and development, product launches, digital strategy and media.
  • Digital experience, including coordination with cross functional teams inclusive of product design, SEO, technology and globally based teams is preferred.
  • Experience writing proposals and/or responding to RFPs
  • Scrum certification preferred

Pay Range: $83,000.00 110,000.00

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
