Position: Child Nutrition Program/Assistant/Trainee

Reports To: Principal/Coordinator/CNP Manager
Job Goal: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and cheerfulness.
Essential Functions:
Maintains acceptable sanitation standards by practicing appropriate procedures in use and care of equipment and personal habits.Follows standards of safety in storing, preparing and serving food as well as in the use of equipment and the physical plant.Follows manager's instructions in portioning, garnishing and serving meals.Assists in maintaining daily required forms.Assists with food production following standardized recipes, preparation, service methods and food handling techniques to insure quality standards.Follows procedures in established personnel practices (time cards, sick leave, etc.).Studies assigned food service materials and attends job related training classes and workshops.Participates in school-community activities.Participates in implementing cost containment measures while maintaining quality.Accepts jobs assigned and assumes responsibility for completing tasks satisfactorily.Evaluation: Job Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of School Support Personnel.
Terms of 9 months (6 or 7 hours per day)
Employment: CNP Salary Schedule - Salary to be established by the Board.
