The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an employment opportunity with our agency. We are looking for a meticulous and responsible candidate to fill a General Maintenance Worker II position working in Salt Lake City. Roles and Responsibilities. Performs inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs on school-owned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical devices, interior and exterior buildings and grounds, etc. Paints offices, hallways, etc. Performs regular inspection of lighting devices and ensures that all bulbs, fuses, ballasts and other associated parts are functioning properly. Moves heavy objects such as furniture, office equipment, etc. Performs setup and takedown duties associated with meetings and other school-related functions, including setting up and arranging tables and chairs, etc. Helps to shuttle state-owned vehicles for service.
