Pay: $150k-$200k

Schedule: M-F 8a-5p

Location: 100% On-Site Lafayette, IN

Director- Solid State Daily Tasks: What you will do:

  • Lead Analytical Chemistry operations, including API, intermediate, and product characterization by solid-state analytical techniques.
  • Oversee method development, validation, and reproduction of prior art.
  • Manage workload, staffing, and team performance to meet productivity goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate staff while promoting diversity, safety, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in spectroscopy (Raman, IR, NMR) and other techniques (XRPD, Particle Size Analysis, Thermal Analysis, Microscopy, Chromatography).
  • Ensure strict compliance with SOPs and laboratory regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret complex analytical data to support client and business needs.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports, summaries, and technical documents.
  • Support strategic business goals and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Resolve technical or operational challenges quickly and cost-effectively.

Director- Solid State Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in organic, analytical, or physical chemistry preferred; BS, MS, or 10+ years in pharmaceutical or related industry considered.
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience in a contract research lab, including 3+ years in supervisory roles.
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry for pharmaceutical development and preclinical testing.
  • Proficient in laboratory instrumentation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and data systems.
