Job Description :

A leading heavy industrial manufacturing company is recruiting for a Regional SH&E Manager to support 8 sites in the upper Midwest region.

Reporting to the Director of EHS, The Regional SH&E Manager will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of programs and policies across multiple facilities, developing and leading training, ensuring divisions maintain compliance as well as maintaining safety performance and culture.

*This role can be based out of Minneapolis, MN; Elgin, IL; Gary, IN; or Davenport, IA areas.

The Role:

  • Drive successful implementation of SH&E goals/objective, program and policies.
  • Coaches and supports Leaders & Safety Representative to effectively mitigate SH&E risks.
  • Develops, maintains and implements safety and health compliance training and records per all applicable Local, State & Federal SH&E regulations.
  • Ensures that all safety trainings/meetings are being conducted throughout the assigned region.
  • Oversees safety committees, safety audits and all related activities.
  • Reviews and audits OSHA 300 log, OSHA 300A Form & OSHA 301 Forms for all assigned divisions.
  • Advises on Workers' Compensation claims and activities. Reviews associated claim data as required.
  • Assist with facility accident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensures the completion of corrective actions.
  • Performs or coordinates all industrial hygiene (IH) activities.
  • Collaborates on Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessments, PPE Assessments and monthly Safety Performance Reports.

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety related field
  • 8+ years of related SH&E work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in collecting and analyzing data; preparing reports; and training employees.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certified Occupational Hygiene Safety Technician (OHST), Certified Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) or Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)
  • General knowledge of typical plant machinery and material handling equipment.
