Job Title: Patient Registrar

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11215

Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Assignment Length: 16 weeks with extensions

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED (required); some college coursework (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year clerical experience (required)
• Skills:
• Data entry (4,500+ keystrokes per hour) – required
• Telephone skills – required
• Computer and keyboard proficiency – required
• Customer service skills – required
• Knowledge:
• Health insurance benefits/requirements – preferred
• Medical coding (ICD-9, CPT-4) – preferred

Position Summary:

The Patient Registrar is responsible for registering patients accurately, verifying insurance information, entering demographic and billing data, and ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in data entry, and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
