Description:
The Damage Prevention Analyst primarily focuses on processing One Call tickets and triaging them to Operations.
The area of responsibility includes gas transmission pipelines throughout the regions in Canada and the US where Gas Transmission has facilities. Occasionally, support outside these areas may be required if the need arises.
Specific Accountabilities
• Support the Team Lead Reporting & One Call in the continued development of the One Call process, including the standardization of one harmonized process for GTM
• Communicate with State and Provincial One Call Centers
• Ensures compliance relating to documentation relating to Triage of One Call Tickets following practices
• Ensures tickets are triaged within regulatory time frame
• Notify Operations and provide information for conducting locating and marking activities associated with One Call tickets.
• Support One Call Ticketing System issues and enhancements
• Identify activities along the pipeline corridor that may pose a threat to the GTM system, as well as external parties who's' activities could present a risk to the GTM system.
• Support investigations on potential unauthorized activities and near misses
• Continuously look for ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the program
• Provide general program support to the Team Lead Reporting & One Call

• The Damage Prevention Program and Process are regulatory requirements in both the US and Canada.
• Damage Prevention is applicable to all GTM assets.
• The Damage Prevention Program implements processes and controls to ensure the safety of GTM people, assets, and communities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
• A related university degree with limited previous experience, or four plus years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
• Strong map reading skills.
• Knowledge of both Canadian and US Provincial/State and Federal Regulations.
• Familiarity with Canadian and US One Call Regulations (811 & Click Before You Dig).
• Understanding of various One Call ticket management programs and systems.
• Effective communication skills, including strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a self-guided environment, managing multiple tasks in a time-sensitive setting.
Preferred:
• Post-secondary education.
• Minimum of four years of industry experience in a Damage Prevention/One Call related role, or a combination of education and experience.
• Field-related experience, such as One Calls or Line Locating, is an asset.
• Experience interacting with Regulators and One Call Centers.
• Experience with screening or submitting One Call tickets.
• Proficiency in using One Call Management software, such as IRTH Utilisphere.
• Experience with GIS systems.
• Knowledge of industry networks and associations.
