Job Duties:
- Drive and oversee recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning in collaboration with department managers.
- Evaluate and manage compensation structures and conduct detailed wage analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Administer, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks.
- Handle employee relations and disciplinary actions with fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA standards and other workplace safety regulations.
- Actively partner with Operations teams to support and reinforce plant-wide safety initiatives and promote a safety-first culture.
- Manage and administer health insurance, wellness programs, and employee benefits, including annual open enrollment, vendor coordination and renewal negotiations.
- Maintain accurate employee records for effective data management and reporting.
- Provide coaching and training to supervisors on employee management, documentation, and HR best practices.
- Conduct internal HR audits and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with the majority in manufacturing environments.
- Deep understanding of plant safety, OSHA compliance, and employment law.
- Expertise in wage evaluation and compensation strategy.
- Experience managing benefits administration and working with external providers.
- Strong track record in recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, staff management and decision-making skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including experience with HRIS systems.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- Spanish speaking ability is an integral part of the job.
