Overview:

The primary function of the Director of Operations is to oversee the field workers of the Operations Department. The Director will hire, manage, hold accountable and coordinate or supply training of the company's IBEW union technical manpower in the Operations Department. He or She will also be responsible for assisting in pricing project labor and T&M work for the Sales Department. Director shall be responsible for Union relations, with an emphasis on staffing levels and recruitment. This department oversees our company's equipment programming and installation, low voltage cabling and fiber optics solutions. The Director of Operations will oversee project management and assign the provision of labor on New Age Telecom installation and service work. The Director will assist to enhance internal system processes and workflow. The Director of Operations will be a member of the New Age Leadership team.

Salary Range:

Extremely dependent on experience:

$ 85,000 – $105,000 plus benefits, which currently includes an extensive Health Insurance program, 401-K match, and company performance bonus if objectives are met

Reporting Relationship:

  • The Director of Operations currently reports to the company Integrator.
  • New Age Telecom Field Service and Installation Staff, including the Operations Coordinator, report directly to the Director of Operations.

Authority & Primary Duties:

  • Authority to specify, implement, and monitor all field operations policies and procedures.
  • Within the Operations Department, will regularly administer direct report employee reviews, and make hire and termination recommendations to the Integrator or President for approval.
  • Work with company sales representatives to create installation labor estimates for customers that help New Age Telecom achieve stated sales goals, and within organizational guidelines.
  • Review and approve Department employee expense statements for reimbursements that meet New Age Telecom policy and budget guidance.
  • Coordinate and approve manufacturer training, within New Age Telecom policy and budget guidelines, for field installation staff.
  • Responsible for meeting installation and service timelines and assign work to Field Installation Staff. This includes flexing staff levels via the IBEW as appropriate.
  • Responsible to approve PTO days for managed staff, ensuring coordination to be sure all work is covered during the allotted time off.
  • Coordinate installation dates and timelines, interfacing with customer representatives, with assistance from the Operations Coordinator.
  • Solicit necessary information from New Age Telecom sales staff to make certain customer expectations are fulfilled.
  • Oversee and Assist Operations Coordinator to keep ConnectWise dispatch board current, keeping work tickets and projects up to date with accurate, timely information.
  • Responsible for job stock, tooling, and inventory management.
  • Manage field fleet of vehicles and test equipment.
  • Attend Leadership Team meetings as requested.
  • Assist in maintaining good vendor relations with key New Age Telecom vendors.
  • Any additional duties, which may be assigned from time to time.
