- Certificate from an approved PCT
- Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required
- Phlebotomy certificate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Technician (PCT) with experience in L&D for a position in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering direct patient care and related support in a timely and effective manner.
Duties:
- Take and record vital signs and patient measurements.
- Collect and prepare lab specimens; perform basic tests (e.g., dipstick, hemoccult).
- Assist with vision, hearing, and urinalysis testing.
- Administer first aid and basic life support as needed.
- Assist in examinations and prepare exam rooms/instruments.
- Educate patients on specimen collection and test preparation.
- Conduct patient interviews and record medical history.
- Maintain and organize patient charts and documentation.
- Communicate patient observations to medical staff.
- Answer routine patient inquiries and make referrals.
- Support patient education and promote health/safety.
- Track inventory and maintain supplies/equipment.
- Assist with training of new staff and team coordination.
- Escort patients and coordinate appointments.
- Perform venipuncture and fingerstick blood collection.
