Position Overview:

Health Monitor Network (HMN) is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Vice President of Research & Insights to lead a modern research and measurement function. This role will unify third-party data, digital metrics, and market insights to drive better client storytelling, campaign performance and optimization, and internal decision-making. As HMN expands its digital offerings and evolves its product mix, the SVP will set the standard for proving value to clients, measuring investment effectiveness and staying ahead of performance expectations in the healthcare media landscape.

Essential Job Functions:

Campaign Measurement and Performance Strategy

  • Lead development and management of campaign effectiveness reporting managing third-party relationships (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Crossix) and client-supplied metrics.
  • Design and manage pre/post campaign analyses that demonstrate impact on prescribing behavior, brand awareness, or engagement.
  • Build a consistent, scalable approach to campaign storytelling that supports pitch materials, renewals, and client QBRs.
  • Provide measurement expertise to client Marketing Mix Modeling to ensure POC is accurately represented

Digital and Point-of-Care Insights

  • Establish performance tracking frameworks for HMN's core channels (screen, print, podcast, digital partnerships).
  • Deliver actionable insights based on engagement metrics, client objectives, and audience behavior trends.
  • Partner with digital ops and product to evolve how we collect, interpret, and visualize data across touchpoints.

Sales Support and Client Strategy

  • Partner with Sales to create data-backed narratives that differentiate HMN in the market.
  • Provide consultative support to pharmaceutical clients and key prospects to help them understand ROI, performance, channel fit, and audience reach.
  • Help define and prioritize the most compelling insights and metrics to support commercial growth.

Market Research and Intelligence

  • Stand up a scalable research capability leveraging external vendors, panels, and survey tools as needed.
  • Oversee design and execution of HCP and patient research that informs product development, content strategy, and positioning.
  • Deliver competitive and market insights that support business development, marketing, and product innovation.

Cross-Functional Impact and Enablement

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Technology teams to embed insights into all stages of the campaign and client lifecycle.
  • Define the foundation for HMN's future research infrastructure, including vendor strategy, tooling, and potential first-party data partnerships.
  • Help establish HMN's external voice through thought leadership, whitepapers, and participation in industry events.

Core Competencies: Please Elaborate on each:

  • Communication Skills

This role requires exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. The SVP must distill complex data sets into compelling, client-ready narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences. They will be responsible for presenting insights to senior pharma clients, partnering with Sales on pitches, and contributing to thought leadership through whitepapers, presentations, and industry events.

  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking

The SVP will be expected to tackle ambiguous challenges around campaign measurement, research design, and data integration across multiple sources (e.g., IQVIA, client metrics, digital performance). They must evaluate tradeoffs, identify the most effective KPIs, and continuously refine HMN's measurement strategy in a fast-evolving healthcare media landscape. The ability to think analytically, connect dots across datasets, and guide strategic decisions will be central to success.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork

This leader must work cross-functionally across Sales, Product, Marketing, Digital Ops, and Tech. They will lead a team while also partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders to build HMN's measurement infrastructure. A collaborative mindset is essential—not just for team leadership, but for embedding insights into every stage of the client and campaign lifecycle.

  • Accountability & Results Orientation

The SVP must own delivery of measurement strategy across all campaigns, ensuring insights are delivered on time and aligned with client expectations. They will be accountable for the accuracy, credibility, and business impact of insights produced, and must demonstrate consistent follow-through on strategic initiatives and internal KPIs tied to client growth and platform maturity.

  • Technical or Role-Specific Expertise

This role demands expertise in third-party data and analytics tools like IQVIA, Symphony, and Crossix, along with strong working knowledge of omnichannel measurement frameworks such as MMM and attribution models. While hands-on technical skills like SQL are not required, fluency in digital analytics concepts and performance metrics across screen, print, podcast, and digital is essential.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in research, analytics, or insights roles, with at least 5 in healthcare, pharma, or media.
  • Demonstrated success in an agency environment, with a deep understanding of how to deliver insights under tight timelines, manage multiple stakeholders, and adapt to fast-changing client needs.
  • Expertise in third-party measurement methodologies, especially with partners like IQVIA, Symphony, and Crossix.
  • Familiarity with campaign reporting across healthcare media channels; experience with point of care, print, and digital is a plus.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories that influence client decisions and internal strategy.
  • Experience with omnichannel or multimedia measurement frameworks (e.g., MMM, attribution) is required.
  • Proven track record turning research insights into commercially successful digital or point-of-care products.
