Job Title: Procurement Agent About the RoleOur client, an innovative and rapidly growing company in the advanced manufacturing and technology solutions industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Agent to join their team. This position plays a key role in supporting the acquisition of goods, services, and equipment for a variety of projects.Position OverviewThe Procurement Agent will review quotes, process requisitions, generate Purchase Orders (POs) and Professional Service Agreements (PSAs), and coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery. This role requires the ability to manage multiple procurement tasks at once while maintaining clear communication with internal departments and accurate documentation for all transactions.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders and Professional Service Agreements for review and signature.
- Manage multiple PO requisitions simultaneously with accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate regularly with Accounts Payable, Finance, and Project teams to confirm project codes, document status, and quote details.
- Engage with vendors to request quotes, negotiate terms, and secure favorable pricing.
- Track and maintain all procurement documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with budgeting and planning activities to meet strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Uphold company policies and represent the organization professionally in all vendor interactions.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement, subcontract management, or a similar role.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, purchase order/professional service agreement negotiations, and basic contractual/legal terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in manufacturing or technology industries.
- Familiarity with government subcontracts and FAR/DFARS regulations.
