OVERVIEW:

Our client, US Fortune 250 company and a global medical technology corporation serving customers in Clinical Labs, Health care research & Pharmaceutical industry, seeks an accomplished Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist.

** JOB TITLE: Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist

** LOCATION: Onsite Role | 155 N McCarthy Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035

** DURATION: 6 Months +

** WORK SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

Pay Range: $35.00/hr. – $37.00/hr. (depending upon experience)

Overview:

The Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist will manage PCBAs and work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure timely procurement and optimal inventory management. This role requires strong ERP (SAP preferred) expertise, supplier collaboration, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high ethical and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage PCBAs and coordinate with contract manufacturers.
  • Execute weekly MRP signals for materials needed to meet production and service demands, avoiding shortages while maintaining optimal inventory.
  • Partner with Global Procurement to classify suppliers, implement purchasing strategies, and escalate issues to prevent line downs.
  • Monitor and resolve issues impacting customer service due to material purchases, quality, or engineering changes; implement preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) to review supplier performance, coordinate RMA/RTV processes, and improve metrics.
  • Drive improvements in SAP utilization and integrate lean procurement tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and manage supplier payments.
  • Track and publish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Clear to Build (CTB), inventory, MRB, past-due POs, and line-down incidents.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comply with corporate procurement policies and participate in audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2–3 years of relevant supply chain, procurement, or materials management experience.
  • ERP experience (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced MS Excel and strong proficiency with data analytics, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: APICS certification.
  • Experience with medical device manufacturing and compliance environments.
