The Dean of Nursing position will provide leadership and direction for all academic offerings in the National & Global Division of Nursing, which is housed in the College of Adult and Professional Studies. As the academic leader, the Dean is tasked to proactively continue to build strong, innovative Christian nursing programs that combines engagement with nursing communities, innovation in learning opportunities, and practice that is rooted in highest professional standards and biblical principles. This innovative and growth-mindset leader will build the school's enrollment, provide oversight of the development and maintenance of curricula, develop systems and structures to support the programs, courses and academic offerings, advance meaningful partnerships, and supervise associate deans, faculty and staff of the division.
The Dean of Nursing will cast a compelling vision for the Division of Nursing. The Dean of Nursing will give direction to the Division of Nursing's leadership team while coordinating divisional activities with leaders from other University academic and operational units to achieve the University's mission. Additionally, the Dean will forge relationships with health care organizations and build strong enrollment pipelines. The Dean of Nursing will also ensure programs are conducted in accordance with the mission and academic
policies of the University and accrediting bodies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide oversight to ensure that programs are conducted in accordance with the academic policies of the university and program accrediting bodies
- Launch new academic programs, certificates, and continuing education events to provide outstanding and future-oriented educational experiences
- Oversee development and management of the Division budget with a focus on achieving revenue goals and effectively managing expenditures
- Serve on community and state health-related boards and committees with the goal of developing strong connections in the public sphere
- Lead and manage faculty including recommendations for hire/dismissal, annual performance reviews, and loading
- Maintain intellectual vitality, including presentations at state, regional, and national levels, and producing relevant academic content for the purpose of representing Indiana Wesleyan University's Division of Nursing to the political and professional world

Education
- A doctoral degree in Nursing, Nursing Education or a related field
Experience
- Five (5) years' full-time experience in nursing education
- Three (3) years in a nursing leadership role
- Administration experience in an accredited program, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is preferred
Required Skills

- Demonstrated entrepreneurial ventures preferred
- Knowledge of principles and practices of professional training and development programs
