Overall Job Summary
The Manager Trainee is responsible for learning the duties of the Store Manager position and developing the skills required for a Store Manager role. Primary duties include delivering a Legendary Customer Experience, building the team, driving sales, managing inventory, managing profit and sales, expense control, and reducing shrink.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
As a Manager Trainee, you will observe and learn the following duties and skills required for a Store Manager role:
- Recruiting, hiring, developing, evaluating, disciplining, and retaining team members.
- Delivering Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
- Creating a welcoming environment that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and mirrors the communities served.
- Scheduling, organizing, and planning daily activities for team efficiency.
- Leading team members to ensure a superior shopping experience.
- Communicating company policies and evaluating processes for effectiveness.
- Learning sales and profit management, including achieving sales targets.
- Promoting a safe and productive work environment.
- Managing merchandise flow, inventory controls, and merchandise resets.
- Training on paperwork processing, sales forecasting, payroll analysis, and documentation of evaluations.
- Managing inventory needs, communicating with buyers, and solving inventory issues.
- Coordinating and conducting sales events, supporting district issues, and community involvement.
- Addressing team member issues, developing staff, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Training on budgeting, sales forecasting, and store audits.
Required Qualifications
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma; Bachelor's in Agricultural Science or Business preferred.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Valid driver's license for company business.
- Proficiency with POS systems, documentation, and store equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work varied hours including weekends and peak seasons.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Normal office conditions, standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, driving, and lifting.
