Job Summary
- The director oversees the evaluation of the relationships between the technology and consumer actions through data, becoming the subject matter expert responsible for creating and developing standards for reporting. A key element is analyzing consumer behavior, the relationship with television interactivity, and developing advertising projection models by categories to support clients in meeting business objectives. The director plays a strategic role internally and with clients; supporting data asset sales and shaping growth strategies. Leads client pitches and positions data to support client goals and revenue. Works directly with advertisers, agencies, and sales management to develop and present campaign reporting. Manages processes for capturing and analyzing key performance metrics from advanced advertising platforms and develops requirements to connect performance across products. Acts as a consultant to AMS and BI teams, leading on data points, trends, and source system analysis.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic research consultant, providing historical insights on campaigns.
- Build and present campaign recommendations regarding segments, media plans, networks, and delivery.
- Set campaign expectations based on best data practices.
- Lead sales presentations and optimize campaigns based on data results.
- Define and develop new data products for existing and new clients.
- Provide cross-platform and industry trend insights.
- Utilize internal and external resources to develop sales and industry collateral.
- Gather and define business and reporting requirements for new products.
- Create use cases for data requests and report development.
- Guide BI team on data elements to tie product performance data.
- Provide expertise on media research, analysis, and reporting standards.
- Develop and manage processes for capturing and analyzing ad performance metrics.
- Manage report production and distribution on audience trends, ad performance, and interaction rates.
- Create case studies showcasing advertising results and solutions.
- Train staff on media metrics and standards.
- Share industry and consumer insights internally and externally.
- Oversee business reporting requirements for data warehouses and BI tools.
Qualifications
- Management Skills: Strong leadership, strategic partnership, ability to navigate big data, articulate performance metrics, work independently and collaboratively, establish relationships, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Technical/Functional Competencies: Experience with BI tools and databases such as SAS, SQL, Microstrategy, Cognos; proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of online metrics (Omniture, DoubleClick, Comscore); ability to translate metrics with TV data.
- Key Experiences/Achievements: BA/BS in communications, media, or data; 10+ years in research or media; experience in interactive advertising environments; ability to lead presentations and work with large data sets; relationship-building skills; storytelling with data.

The starting pay range for this position is $155,509.00 - $190,000.00 annually, based on skills and experience.
