Immediate Hiring Need for a
Full Time Field Service Technician
Overview:
Maintains and repairs stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries by troubleshooting the cause of equipment malfunction, calibrating equipment to operating specifications, and installing new units as required.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews job requirements and verifies that the required tools, equipment, parts, material, and manuals are part of the service vehicle inventory.
- Troubleshoots the cause of equipment malfunction.
- Trains customers on preventative maintenance.
- Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles units as required.
- Inspects and repairs boiler fittings such as safety valves, regulators, and automatic control mechanisms.
- Replaces damaged boiler tubes and plates.
- Repairs or replaces high-pressure piping.
- Performs water pressure tests.
Qualifications:
- 3 years minimum experience in related field.
- Associates Degree or Military Experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and adjust focus.
- Drive to reach the customers' facilities.
- May be required to spend several nights away from home in a hotel on occasion.
- Available to be in a rotation for on-call 24-7 to go to the customer's facility.
