NSI Industries – HVAC Division (Duro Dyne & Supco) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our winning team. If you are a highly motivated team player interested in an exciting career with a leading global manufacturer, this job is for you! You will primarily be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with regional accounts, including HVAC wholesale distributors and ductwork/sheet metal fabricators.

The Mechanical Engineer's primary function is to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of HVAC systems.

Job Duties:
  • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees. Follow safe work practices and protect the environment according to Company policy and regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company's policies, principles, and procedures, including Environmental, Health and Safety (“EH&S”), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
  • Provide engineering coordination for projects; prepare scope, schematic, preliminary, and construction documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications of HVAC products.
  • Collaborate with technical, professional, managerial, and support personnel, as well as outside consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Construct models and prototypes, then evaluate the design through testing.
  • Study test data and compare with similar designs.
  • Develop control systems and monitor production.
  • Ensure HVAC designs and installations comply with building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Create machine drawings, 3D models, assembly, and detailed drawings.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure proper fabrication, machining, and assembly of parts.
  • Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and develop improvements.
  • Design and develop prototypes, develop testing processes, and perform validation.
  • Analyze and test prototypes and revisions of devices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
  • Ability to work 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday.
  • Effective and clear communication skills.
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on machinery and access all areas of machinery.
