Job Description :
Summary:The Manager, Accounting will play a key role in the continued evolution of Jet Linx Aviation's accounting processes, systems, and controls. This position will serve as a strategic resource on the accounting team, working closely with the VP Controller, CFO, and leadership across the organization to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while challenging the status quo.Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Process monthly close including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement review and analysis.
  • Lead, coach, and develop corporate accounting team, promoting teamwork and facilitating strong communication.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to improve current processes and procedures improving efficiencies and tackling business challenges.
  • Assist with integration of accounting functions from new acquisitions.
  • Develop and analyze various standard and ad hoc financial and operational reports.
  • Cross-train with payroll, revenue accounting and Controller.
  • Act as key point of contact and project lead for third parties, including external financial auditors and federal and state tax agencies.
  • Lead implementation of new accounting system.
  • Research and implement new accounting standards.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  • Demonstrate Jet Linx's core values and “Supply the High” in all interactions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Experience managing and leveraging finance team member strengths
    • Experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development, analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll
    • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and auditing standards
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Green Plains (or other accounting) software
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems
    • Ability to multi-task and complete work within assigned timelines under minimal supervision
    • Ability to travel to out-of-state sites as needed
    • Operate office equipment as needed
    Education and Work Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • 4+ years of relevant experience or 3+ years om public accounting
    • Certified Public Accountant preferred
    Physical Requirements:
    • Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions
    • Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis
    Compensation:Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to team members. Starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $87,500 to $115,000. Actual base salary provided is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), relevant education, training and experience of the candidate.
