Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for hiring, training, daily supervision, scheduling, delegation, and motivation of staff. Ensure staff is following all dept procedures, safe, timely, and providing a high level of service and work ethic.
Monitor daily performance and appearance of staff. Report any disciplinary issues to management and address immediately.
Respond to emergencies or accidents following the proper procedures and communication channels.
Perform all administrative duties such as HR requirements, weekly planning, personnel records, incident and accident reports, etc.
Greet and check in each guest. Receive patron's ski or snowboard gear, check gear into management software, place gear in rack for overnight storage, provide gear as needed
Collects fees for use of facilities.
Perform accurate transactions and reports related to the sales of seasonal and daily locker rentals by maintaining accurate inventory.
Assist guests with putting on their boots and carrying skis to and from the snow.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all aspects of the ski valet operation.
Coordinate with other attendants to make sure boots and skis are available to guests in a timely fashion.
Keep all skis/boots in an organized fashion with accurate records for all inventory.
Possesses an understanding of services available and be proactive in generating sales of these services.
Understand how to operate POS System, and build inventory for all transactions. Should be able to troubleshoot most issues regarding transactions.
Manage retail inventory through the winter season.
Stay up to date with on-mountain information and be able to inform guests accordingly.
Provide a high level of guest service and guest interaction.
Adhere to all TSG policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook.
Understand and apply the Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 16-18 employees in the Slopeside Boot Valet Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; managing the department's schedule, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervisor will be responsible for monthly sales reports, and managing inventory.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively interact in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Able to communicate by radio.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions from written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to ask questions on tasks to ensure complete understanding.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn POS System specific to Sales and Ski Valet and Slopeside Lockers.
Other Qualifications:
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.
Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.
Must be able to ski or snowboard at a beginner level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
POSITION BEGINS OCTOBER 1st AND RUNS THROUGH APRIL 17th
Compensation begins at $26.00-$28.00/hr and is based on experience and skillset.
