GENERAL FUNCTION

The Team Lead delivers exceptional value by providing outstanding customer service, ensuring customers and patients are always delighted. They assist in store success by managing optical and lab processes and systems to achieve excellent results.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn Retail
  • Ensure the LensCrafters team provides exceptional customer service
  • Be proactive, solution-oriented, and demonstrate accurate execution and product knowledge
  • Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, and support sales associates
  • Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder
In Lab (if applicable)
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
  • Collaborate with associates to enhance their knowledge, skills, and certifications related to lens and lab technology
  • Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
  • Create a safe working environment and demonstrate safe work practices
  • Maintain lab tools and systems through regular cleaning and operation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS diploma/GED
  • Strong optical and retail experience
  • Knowledge of optical theory and merchandise
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Sales skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators
  • Leadership and training experience
  • Experience with edging and mounting
  • Basic optics knowledge and measurement skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • State licensure or ABO Certification (if applicable)
  • LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification
  • Fitting and adjusting certification from LensCrafters
  • Experience with optical machinery/instruments
  • Customer service experience
  • AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification
  • Knowledge of store merchandise and lens options
