The Service Engineer III will troubleshoot and repair Sony professional video products, including Broadcast equipment, ENG video cameras, and Professional Broadcast monitors. This role requires diagnosing, repairing, configuring, upgrading, and testing Sony products as needed. Proficiency in electronic testing equipment, such as waveform signal monitors and oscilloscopes, is essential for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.

Job Duties:

  • Diagnose, evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast and professional electronic equipment at the service depot.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced broadcast and professional video cameras and control systems.
  • Perform repairs according to manufacturer standards, including software updates, functional improvements, and modifications.
  • Provide repair quotations for in-warranty and out-of-warranty services, maintaining accurate work records with diagnostic findings and QA results.
  • Assist and train junior technicians with repairs.
  • Ensure performance metrics such as MTTR, CR90, and TAT are met.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date work order notes for internal tracking and customer communication.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in electronics required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of service and support experience in the broadcast and professional industry.
  • Experience in similar roles and product repairs.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Adherence to ESD procedures.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting standalone products and integrated systems.
  • Skilled in using advanced test equipment and in soldering surface-mount devices.
  • Deep understanding of broadcast signal standards, signal flow, and workflows.

Experience:

  • Experience with camera OHB block RPN concealment process.
  • Proficiency in electronic testing and troubleshooting equipment.
