Opportunity
This position oversees strategy and execution for activities related to hunting, fishing, shooting, archery, hiking, canoeing, camping, and others. Responsibilities include developing wildlife habitats, monitoring animal populations, enforcing laws, conducting research, and managing land stewardship. The role also involves crafting digital marketing strategies, managing staff, ensuring safety, and coordinating operational tasks. It is a full-time, guest-facing position requiring evening and weekend availability.
Specific Responsibilities
Monitor animal populations, habitat conditions, and environmental factors; conduct related research.Enforce wildlife laws, including patrolling and investigating violations.Educate the public on wildlife and conservation topics through outreach and educational programs.Collaborate with agencies and organizations on conservation efforts.Guide and schedule upland hunts, supervise hunting parties, and promote safety.Plan and produce wildlife and hunting-related videos, including managing filming equipment and editing.Coordinate with marketing teams on video concepts and ensure timely delivery.Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and outdoor activities.Manage staffing, create SOPs, and oversee daily operations and inventory.Work with other teams for maintenance, safety, and operational support.Ensure a safe environment, manage risks, and respond to emergencies.Maintain equipment and prepare grounds for activities.Report to the Director on grounds and activities, participate in meetings.Manage birding contracts and supplies.Train staff and clients in firearm safety and handling, perform gunsmithing as needed.Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, natural resource management, conservation, biology, or forestry.
- Knowledge of agronomy, wildlife, hunting, and fishing.
- Experience with gun handling and safety; completion of gun safety courses.
- Extensive knowledge of natural resources laws and hunting/shooting sports.
- Wildland Firefighting Certification preferred.

We offer day 1 benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Salary range: $88,000 - $111,150, influenced by experience, education, and location.
