Aquatics Director - Woodruff Family YMCA

The Woodruff Family Y, a branch of the Central Connecticut Coast Y, is looking for a dynamic leader to take charge of our aquatics programs and facilities as Aquatics Director! In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of our aquatic offerings, ensuring they are safe, engaging, and meet the needs of our community. You'll lead a team of passionate staff and volunteers, manage budgets and compliance, and maintain a welcoming environment for all members.

To be successful as Aquatics Director, you'll bring:

• Experience: At least one year as an aquatics coordinator or supervisor.
• Certifications: Current CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguard, and Swim Instructor certifications (YMCA or Red Cross). Certified Pool Operator certification is required within six months of hire.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Safety Focus: Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with pool filtration and chlorination systems is preferred.
