Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Director, Operations. As a Director, Operations you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standard. This role is pivotal in driving process, modernization and operational efficiency while overseeing day-to-day logistics activities.
- Strategize and implement warehousing and distribution solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Drive the development of tailored warehousing and transportation solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators for safety, quality, service levels, and financial performance, driving continuous improvement
- Leading and mentoring management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement through the identification and implementation of best practices and process enhancements.
- Contribute to talent development initiatives to build and retain a high-performing distribution team.
- Working with Sales department to ensure seamless operations and support business growth.
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- 10 years of warehouse operations experience, in a high-volume environment
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience developing and executing near-term operational plans and long-term growth strategies.
- Familiarity with transportation management processes and systems.
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish) a plus
